Practice
Atelier Nord was founded in 2009 on a single working principle: a building drawn carefully and a commission run carelessly is still a failure. We keep both halves in the same building — a small technical office that never stops checking a junction, and a client portal that keeps every drawing, invoice and site report on the record for as long as the project runs.
We take on a small number of residential and cultural commissions a year, each led personally by one of the four architects below. There is no separate delivery team — the person who designs the building is the person who answers the phone during construction.
Team
Ingrid Solberg
Founding Partner
Founded the practice in 2009 after eleven years at Snøhetta. Leads design on every cultural commission personally, and will not delegate a section drawing.
Marcus Feldt
Partner
Structural engineer turned architect. Runs the technical office — tolerances, junctions, and the drawings that never make the portfolio but keep the building up.
Priya Anand
Associate
Leads on-site delivery for residential commissions. Visits every live project weekly until handover; has never missed one.
Tomas Lindqvist
Architect
Joined from the model workshop and still builds every study model by hand before anything goes to CAD.
Method
Concept
A measured survey, a brief written back to the client for sign-off, and a first section before a single plan.
Planning
The design fixed enough to submit, drawn to the level a planning officer — not a client — reads.
Tender
A full drawing and specification set issued to contractors, priced and compared line by line.
Construction
Weekly site visits, a revision log for every drawing that changes, and an invoice schedule tied to progress.
Handover
A completion certificate, the full drawing history, and the vault of every document, still available in the portal.
